Meet this big ‘ole handsome fella named Petey. He is the size of a small dog, weighing in around 14 lbs.  Petey is a total love bug and will make a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys being followed around like a puppy.

 

Petey is not motivated by toys or treats but by coming when you call his name to get lovins. He even drools when you pet him - just like a dog.  Maybe a pup in his former life?  Check out those big paws! 

 

He is being fostered by Meow Mission for Stover Animal Rescue because Stover was concerned for Petey since he was shy and hid under blankets a lot. We agreed to foster him to try and socialize him so he could find his Purrfect family.

 

As soon as he got to the foster home, he was the most social butterfly!  The Stover volunteers couldn’t believe it.  He was just timid in the shelter environment and needed to blossom so we could see his personality.  And boy have we!  He wants nothing more than to be next to his people.

 

We are so excited for Petey because he is THE most amazing boy!  The family that adopts him is going to be quite lucky.
